Executive summary

Kim Ramon Kaufmann completed his master's degree in law at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), where his master's thesis dealt with property law from the perspective of smart contracts and protection of ownership. He successfully completed his studies in February 2023.
While still a student, he worked at a trust company in Liechtenstein, which, in addition to traditional Liechtenstein trust services, also handled mandates in the FinTech sector, in particular assisting companies in the process of registering with the FMA. From 2020 to 2025, he worked there as a compliance officer and legal assistent. His responsibilities included reviewing and ensuring compliance with due diligence obligations, international financial sanctions, AEOI/FATCA, and data protection issues. He also worked in the area of blockchain and digital assets, both operationally and in the compliance environment, and took on the lead role in supporting major clients in this area. In addition, he assisted with the establishment and administration of legal entities. He continuously pursues professional development, particularly in the areas of compliance and international sanctions.
Kim Ramon Kaufmann has in-depth knowledge of compliance and due diligence obligations (SPG/SPV), particularly in the context of blockchain technologies and the source of funds of digital assets.
