Dominik Kara

Dominik has been working in the financial sector in Liechtenstein for 16 years. He began his career at LGT, specializing in investment restriction controls, fund management compliance, and risk calculations, and completed the Dipl. Swiss Fund Officer program. Subsequently, Dominik worked at VP Bank AG as a Compliance Officer, responsible for correspondent banks, PEP reviews, and technical compliance projects. After four years, he was given the opportunity to establish the Business Risk Management (1st Line Controls) for VP Bank AG and lead the team. Due to his personal interest and professional development in the blockchain environment, two years later he had the opportunity to build up the VP Bank Group's Blockchain Banking. As Head DLT Business Engineering, he was responsible for the entire risk and and compliance framework for digital assets as well as booked clients. Dominik possesses extensive practical knowledge in risk management, (financial crime) compliance, financial market law, and blockchain technology. He specializes in advising financial intermediaries and other legal entities, particularly in the areas of compliance and blockchain, on regulatory and financial matters.

Dominik joined BDO (Liechtenstein) AG in May 2025 as a Senior Manager Consulting.
